118 E59  |  New York, USA

SCDA’s tallest building in New York to date at 38 storeys, this high-rise residential tower is a sleek, pencil thin addition to Manhattan’s vibrant Midtown East neighborhood. Rising over 400 feet with views towards Central Park, the tower explores the concept of stacked blocks as the main expression for the massing articulation and the façade.

Glass of different textures and reflectivity will cover each alternating block to break up the potential monotony of a single curtain wall. The visual effect is one of a ribbon, laced between each of the tower’s stacked blocks, directing the pedestrian gaze up toward the sky.

Currently under construction.
